HOW SWEET IT IS TO HAVE HONEYMOON SUITE AT AJ’S
Lethbridge, AB. – Average Joe’s is thrilled to be able to present up close and personal one of Canada’s premier 1980’s rock groups, HONEYMOON SUITE. The group produced a number of platinum selling albums and were named Group of the Year at the 1986 Juno’s. They opened for the likes of Billy Idol, April Wine and Bryan Adams. Some of the hit singles that you will remember are New Girl Now, Burning In Love and Lethal Weapon. Opening the show will be the local Lethbridge groups, Uncovered are a group whose acoustic blend draws from many genres and decades of great music. Their smooth, silky sound is great for listening and great for dancing and Susie and The Homewreckers who present an upbeat blend of rock, pop, alternative and punk music.

THE MUSIC OF NEWFOUNDLAND DESCENDS AVERAGE JOE’S
Lethbridge, Ab. – One of Newfoundland’s best loved musical groups The Irish Descendants will be performing at Average Joe’s on Thursday, February 23rd.
The Descendants have earned a long list of achievements over the last couple of decades. They have sold over a half a million records. They have been named Entertainers of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards and have won a Juno. The Irish Descendants have sold out concerts across North America and when touring Ireland were dubbed “The Lost Celtic Tribe of Newfoundland”. Their performances of lilting ballads and toe tapping reels are presented with high energy and a humorous slant that leaves audiences clamoring for more.

THE REAL McKENZIES SKIRL INTO AVERAGE JOE’S
Lethbridge, AB. – And now for something just a little bit different when it comes to entertainment at Average Joe’s , how about “the original” Canadian Celtic punk rock band, THE REAL McKENZIES. The Vancouver based McKenzies are celebrating their 25th anniversary in the business with a massive tour in 2017 throughout Canada, the USA and Europe. The tour also highlights the introduction of their 10th studio album.
What do you get at a Real McKenzies concert? Well, you get kilts, pipes, drums, acoustic and electric guitars all melded to create a sound like no other. You get a merry band of talented singing minstrels and ribald storytellers. You get healthy doses of their own original songs which are rebellious, poignant and achingly heartfelt coupled with Celtic wit and charm. You get performances of more traditional Scottish music emboldened with their punk influenced sound.

EVENING OF STAND-UP IN JOE’S GARAGE
Lethbridge, Ab. – On Saturday March 25th Average Joe’s is ready to roll with the sound of laughter in an evening of stand-up comedy. Three comedians will entertain. Adam Blank is a young comic from Edmonton who is making a name for himself on the comedy club circuit. Jeff Gunderson is a new comer whose comedy is influenced by good old Lethbridge, his home town. The headliner for the night is none other than Mike “Pickle” Dumbra. Mike has been performing all across North America for 30 years. He is best known as the “Smart Ass King of Comedy”. He has opened for the likes of Howie Mandel, Adam Sandler and Michael Bolton.
